Ordering will be made available mid-February 2010. Club Members can enjoy Print from Home features now.
What sizes and options will be available to me?

Can I print on my 8.5x11 printer?
Yes, you may print your 8x8 or 5x7 layouts and cut them down to the appropriate size. Please note that general office printers will not typically produce a high quality print. For this reason we recommend using a printer capable of printing photos paired up with high quality photo paper.

Just ask your favorite scrapbook retailer. Scrapbook stores everywhere carry these standard scrapbook sizes. Scrapbook stores have sheet protectors and albums to perfectly fit your 12x12 and 8x8 single pages. While you visit you may want to browse the store for some supplies to Make it Hybrid! Our Manufacturers products will provide the perfect dimension to your layout!

Print from Home
I do not see the "Print From Home" button. Where do I find it?
Print From Home is available to Club Members only. If you are logged in as a Free Member you will not see the button. Club Members will find the button located next to the "Print" button near the top of the scrapbook builder application.
Where will I find my print from home file(s)?
Your print file will be in a few locations for easy finding. Once you have initiated a print from home you will see a popup that says we will e-mail the high resolution version of your scrapbook to your registered e-mail address. An e-mail will be sent with a direct link to download your print from home pages once the order has had time to process. Additionally, you can locate the print archive of the scrapbook by clicking "Open" in the builder where there will be a brown clickable file folder next to the thumbnail of the scrapbook. You will also be able to locate your print files via "My Account" under the "Me" tab. Click on your scrapbooks and the print file will be available for 90 days. If you wish to print your file after the 90 days has expired, feel free to initiate another Print From Home on that file and we'll send it to you again.
How long should I expect to wait for my Print From Home file to be available?
Print From Home times vary depending on how many pages are being processed in our queue. This time ranges from 10 minutes to 24 hours based on demand and peak times. An email notification will be sent once your print from order has been processed. This service is included with your Club Membership at no additional cost.
I expect a high quality print. What can I do on my end to make sure this is what I get?
For the highest quality prints use high resolution photos and digital designs. These are typically photos that are found on your hard drive and were taken with a digital camera. Pictures taken with a mobile phone are typically low resolution and will not print well. Additionally, members utilizing the Facebook, FlickR, and PhotoBucket services should only use photos stored on their own accounts. Do not print photos that were taken from friends' profiles or other websites using the "Right Click and Save" feature on your computer as they will result in poor quality. However, low resolution photos work well for e-mailing and sharing across the web. Photos taken from Facebook, FlickR, and Photobucket may result in lower quality prints, although our testing showed these photos still look great so long as the source of the file was high resolution. (Note: Print From Home files should show up in the quality that they will print, so please review your print from home file before sending it to the printer).
What sizes do you currently support?
We support 12x12, 8x8, and 5x7 prints. Please note that 12x12 and 8x8 layouts are interchangeable when printing, so feel free to mix and match these pages. Club Members may print their layouts from home or anywhere that houses a photo printer. Please note that you can print on 8.5x11 photo paper and cut down to 8x8 or 5x7.
What type of paper should I use to print?
We recommend using high quality photo paper for printing from home.
Say hello to ScrapHD Premier Matte Photo Paper. We wanted to make it an easy choice since the paper you print on makes THAT much of a difference. After finding the best available options we decided all of the high quality, archival photo paper out there was too expensive and the affordable options weren't archival. Most photo papers just didn't POP like we expected! What was a scrapbooker to do? We had no choice but to create the best archival photo paper in the market and make sure it was affordable. See your local scrapbook retailer for details.
What 'at home' printer do you recommend using?
We highly recommend the Epson Stylus Photo R1900 Ink Jet Printer combined with high quality photo paper. This is simply based on our own testing and there's no affiliation with Epson, but WOW do our prints look amazing from the R1900! We also have the Epson R1800 and found that to be a great alternative.
Photos
How do I upload photos to the scrapbook builder?
You must be a logged in user to upload your photos. Free Members may queue up one photo at a time, while Club Members may upload multiple photos at once. You can accomplish this by clicking on "Photos" located on the left hand side of the builder and then clicking the green "+" sign. From there click on "Upload" and you'll have access to your hard drive. Click on Facebook, FlickR, or Photobucket and you'll see instructions on how to access photos stored on those sites and bring in multiple photos at once for both Free and Club Members.
How do I create folders for images I copy from my hard drive to ScrapHD?
This is a Club Member only functionality. Please view our Tutorials Page for instructions on how to put your photos and uploaded .png's into organized folders.
Can I use photos from photo storage sites? How will these photos print?
Yes. It only takes seconds to get access to all of your photos stored on the web. We are integrated with Facebook, FlickR, and Photobucket. Please visit our Tutorials page on how to give ScrapHD access to these photos.
* For the best quality print, we always recommend using high resolution photos from your hard drive. Be careful not to use mobile uploads or low resolution photos in your printed layouts. Do not "Right Click and Save" photos or images from friends' FB pages or websites even if you know they originally came from a high resolution source. In general, if you use photos that you yourself uploaded to your social network account and you know it came from a high resolution camera, the print should come out looking great. If your intention is to only create a scrapbook for web viewing, use any photo you'd like. Please visit our Forums for helpful tips and tricks on printing.
Can I resize the images and photos in my layout? How will these photos print?
This is a somewhat tricky question and we'd like to point out that every image from within our application will look great in print if you leave it at the size it comes onto the canvas OR smaller. Most images will allow a limited amount of stretching and still look great in print, but for those of you using buttons and brads and wanting it to look like a real button, we suggest adjusting the size down to a real button size. We encourage those that are printing to use them in the way that our Manufacturer Partners intended the physical item to be used, and those that are solely sharing their layouts across the web, feel free to stretch the limits a bit.
Do you offer any photo editing tools?
You may crop your photos from within our builder using the Rectangle, Circle, Star, Heart, and Free-Hand tools. Please visit our Tutorials Page to learn more about cropping your photos. We also offer photo filtering effects which allow you to apply: Pixelate, Sepia, Brightness, Emboss, Infrared, Outline (Drawing), RedEye, and Twirl. Additionally, you may add borders and shadowing to your photos or to any image you bring to the canvas. We allow you to adjust: blur, angle, distance, and opacity. You may even add reflection and select the level of intensity! It rawks! Please visit our Tutorials Page to learn all about our advanced photo editing and filters. All of this is included without leaving the builder!

How long are processing times supposed to take?
Processing times will vary depending on your particular computer's processing speed and how fast your internet connection is. It also depends on how many pages are being processed and whether or not you've loaded any previously loaded pages. The first time for loading may take longer than the next as your browser will have cached the previous data for easy retrieval the next time around. Loading of the image gallery should take only seconds for those with fast connections and may take longer for those on dial-up or shared connections.
Please do not click off of the application as it is processing and let the program run its course. We also recommend saving your work frequently throughout the creation process to avoid losing your work.
